Made using durable USA-made 550 paracord and adjustable BioThane® adapters from Katy's BioAdapters, these collars let you mix and match colors, explore different weaves, and create a custom look for your four-legged companion.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR COLLAR

2. Choose Your Adapter Color:

Choose from a variety of BioThane® adapter colors to complement your paracord design.

Please note: Black 1-inch and 3/4-inch BioThane® adapters are kept in stock. Other adapter colors and sizes may need to be ordered from Katy's BioAdapters before your collar can be started. If your selected adapter is not in stock, please allow approximately one additional week for your package to arrive due to the extra ordering and production time.

3. Choose Your Paracord Colors:

With a variety of paracord colors available, the possibilities are endless! Choose a single color for a simple, classic look or combine multiple colors to create a bold, colorful design. Create a collar that fits your animal’s style. Mix, match, and express your companion with a color combination that's uniquely theirs!

Some weaves can have up to 6 colors when you splice together the cords. (If you want to splice together colors, write it in the notes section if the number of colors provided in the drop-down section is less than what you want in your collar.)

4. Choose Your Favorite Weave:

Explore the different weave options available to find the style you love! Depending on the weave you choose, you may be able to select different widths by adding more strands to the design. This allows for a variety of looks and sizes, from smaller animals to larger animals.

5. Choose the Right Fit:

Measure your pet's neck carefully and select the appropriate size for a comfortable, secure fit. Some weaves can be customized with additional strands to create a wider collar, making it easier to tailor the design to your pet.

Please ensure your selected collar size, width, and adapter are appropriate for your animal.

VERY IMPORTANT

Please provide your dog’s neck circumference in inches when checking out. This measurement is required.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG’S NECK

1. With your dog standing comfortably, wrap a flexible measuring tape around the neck where the collar will sit. Keep the tape flat against the coat without pulling it tight or compressing the fur.
2. If you don’t have a measuring tape, use a piece of non-stretch string, mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat against a ruler. Keep your dog supervised and remove the string immediately after measuring.
3. Record the neck circumference in inches and provide this measurement when checking out. Measure around the neck, not along it, and do not use the end-to-end length of an old collar.

The 1-inch, 3/4-inch, and 1/2-inch adapter options refer to width, not your dog’s neck measurement. After fitting the finished collar, check that it is comfortable and secure, with room to slide two fingers underneath. Check the fit regularly, especially for growing dogs.

OPTIONAL ADD-ON: STAINLESS STEEL HEX NUTS

Have a dog who loves to chew on collars? Stainless steel hex nuts can be added to certain collar designs for an additional custom detail.

To include hex nuts with your order, visit the Add-Ons section of the website and select the option when customizing your collar.

Important safety notice: Hex nuts are small, hard objects that can pose a choking hazard or cause serious injury if swallowed. Always supervise your pet while wearing a collar with hex nuts, regularly inspect the collar for loose or damaged components, and remove the collar if any parts become loose. While the hex nut is a deterrent for collar chewers, you shouldn’t allow your pet to chew on the collar if at all possible. If your pet is a persistent collar chewer, consider whether this add-on is appropriate for them.

PARACORD COLLAR CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

To keep your custom collar looking its best, follow these simple care instructions:

1. Routine cleaning: Mix mild soap with lukewarm water and gently scrub the paracord using a soft brush or cloth.
2. Rinse thoroughly: Remove all soap residue with clean water.
3. Dry completely: Pat the collar with a towel and allow it to air-dry fully before putting it back on your pet.
4. BioThane® adapter care: Wipe the adapter with mild soap and water, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth.
5. Metal hardware care: Rinse away dirt and debris and dry thoroughly to help maintain the hardware.
6. Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use bleach, strong cleaners, or abrasive products that could damage the cord, adapter, or hardware.
7. Regular inspections: Check the cord, weave, adapter, hardware, and any optional hex nuts for fraying, wear, damage, or looseness before each use.

Do not put a wet collar back on your pet, as trapped moisture can cause discomfort and irritation.

Helpful tip: For everyday maintenance, wipe away dirt with a damp cloth and let your collar air-dry as needed.
